Sensory Memory
Capacity: everything you see/hear Duration: fraction of a section Example: you read a word and recall how someone says it |
Short Term Memory
Capacity: about 7 items Duration: <20 secs Example: you memorize a phone number and dial it |
Long Term Memory
Capacity: vast; uncountable Duration: perhaps a lifetime Example: you remember the house you lived in 7 yrs ago |
